How to Set Up IPTV on Chromecast/Google TV: A Simple Guide

What You Need
- A Chromecast with Google TV (or a Google TV device)
- An IPTV subscription (with an M3U URL or Xtream Codes: URL, username, password)
- A stable internet connection
Step 1: Prepare Your Device
- Enable Apps from Unknown Sources
- Go to Settings > System > About > Android TV OS Build (click it 7 times to enable Developer Options).
- Then go to Settings > Apps > Security & Restrictions > Unknown Sources and turn it on for the Downloader app (you’ll install this next).
- Install Downloader App
- Open the Google Play Store on your Google TV.
- Search for “Downloader” and install it.
Step 2: Download IPTV Smarters Pro
- Open the Downloader app.
- Type this URL: https://privateiptv.nl/apps/smarters.apk.
- Press Go and wait for the file to download.
- When prompted, select Install to add IPTV Smarters Pro to your device.
Step 3: Set Up IPTV Smarters Pro
- Launch IPTV Smarters Pro from your Google TV apps menu.
- Choose your login method:
- M3U URL: Paste the M3U link from your IPTV provider.
- OR Xtream Codes: Enter these details (from your provider’s email):
- Name: Type anything (e.g., “My IPTV”).
- Username: Input the username provided.
- Password: Enter the password provided.
- Server URL: Paste the HTTP link (starts with “http://”).
- Tap Add or Login.
Step 4: Start Watching
- Wait for the app to load your channels, movies, and shows.
- Use your remote to browse live TV or on-demand content.
